The WA Government sought public comment on proposed amendments to the Environmental Protection Act 1986 from 28 November 2019 for a three-month period, closing on 28 January 2020.
The feedback received through this process helped to inform the amendments to the Environmental Protection Act 1986 that received Royal Assent on 19 November 2020.
